New York City's Neighborhood Toy Store

You Might Have Noticed Something Missing

For the past 6 years it has been our great pleasure at Teich General Store to serve the West Village, but the time has come, and our 8th Avenue shop has closed.

When we opened in 2011, our goal was to create a charming neighborhood shop stocked with interesting gifts and accessories by emerging local artists and designers. Our son was 6 months old at the time and he inspired us to carry a selection of children's products.

The response to the Kids Wall was so strong we decided to open Teich Toys & Books down the street a few years later, and now we have decided to focus entirely on our thriving toy store.

We will continue to carry some of your faves, like West Village art prints by local legend Kaz Morimoto and a great selection of indy greeting cards, so pop on over and take a look!
Thanks for all of your support and we’ll see you around the neighborhood!
